Our Company Historie
Since 1992, our company has been involved in plant and apparatus engineering. These many years of experience reassure our customers that they have a reliable and established partner by their side. We exclusively use high-alloy and corrosion-resistant steel. Our product range covers the following areas:
- Container and apparatus engineering
- Volume measurement equipment
- Industrial cleaning systems
- Equipment for restoring paper
Our products are always state of the art. We plan and design your systems in 3D using CAD systems. Thanks to the experience of our employees and technical equipment, we can guarantee comprehensive quality and ultimate precision of all manufactured parts.
Key milestones in our history
1891
Launch as part of Tannroda dairy cooperative.
1970
Contribution to VEB Milchkombinat, Erfurt.
1982
Specialisation as a tank builder for the dairy industry.
1990
Acquisition of production site by the Treuhand Trust, Berlin.
1991
Trading as Edelstahlbau Tannroda GmbH as part of the Mack Group.
2003
Member of the INITIATOREN AG group for shareholdings.

Edelstahlbau Tannroda GmbH (EST) is approved to manufacture pressure equipment. Furthermore, EST uses an integrated management system.

Training
We are a successful training organisation.
Edelstahlbau Tannroda GmbH designs innovative products for our customers’ futures. Together with our trainees, we lay the foundations for their professional future and safeguarding expertise at our company.
For more than 40 years, we have been training young talent in the areas of construction mechanics and plant mechanics for building stainless steel tanks. Based on this, we create the best conditions for a successful start to professional life.
Our training is based on 3 pillars.
Theoretical training is provided by the Weimar vocational school. Technical skills are taught at our headquarters in Tannroda along with training courses and specialist courses at Erfurt Training Centre. Courses on welding, turning, milling and pneumatics are offered here.
We are always looking for interested, young people to help us shape the future. Simply apply to us if you are interested in an apprenticeship. If you’re still unsure whether this is right for you, we’ll be happy to offer you an internship.
